The Executive Producer (in-person, live events) owns pre-show planning and the implementation of production services to ensure a successful client experience. You’ll lead a team of creative and technical thinkers while managing client expectations through the planning, onsite, and post-event phases — working closely with our Account, Creative, Technical, Digital Services, and Operations teams to deliver flawless, on-budget programs including in-person, hybrid events, and studio broadcasts.

 

Successful Candidates will

  • Manage client communication and the production planning process for an assigned project, including the development of necessary assets (production timelines, show flow and scripts, room diagrams, project deliverables, etc.)
  • Manage the implementation and/or onsite execution of all elements for the project
    Manage the post-project follow-up and reporting process
  • Be a strategic thinker
  • Deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, client-focused environment

 

Successful Candidates will

  • This is not a meeting-planning position
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Media/Video Production, Stage/Event Management, Theatre/Technical Direction, or equivalent work experience
  • Seven to ten years in a production setting — agency, event/broadcast, or AV environment
  • Strong team management skills; highly organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office, Apple iWork, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Adobe, AutoCAD/Vectorworks, and similar design applications a plus
  • Travel required — approximately 5–7 days a month

We’re looking for a Technical Director/Project Manager to coordinate the technical and production elements of live, virtual, and hybrid corporate meetings and events — ensuring the right technology solutions, suppliers, and resources are allocated for flawless execution. The ideal candidate has a strong background in live-event technical direction and a genuine desire to ideate and contribute to the look, feel, and design of the project. This is a senior-level position with salary commensurate with experience.

 

Successful Candidates will

  • Manage all aspects of in-person and hybrid event production
  • Provide expert knowledge and recommendations to support project objectives, design, technological solutions, and quality standards
  • Manage or attend client input and planning sessions; maintain dialogue with stakeholders to support ongoing project needs
  • Manage internal teams, create the project plan, and facilitate project and team processes
  • Conduct site inspections of venues; research local vendor and labor support
  • Create show flows, manage rehearsals, and call show when needed
  • Acquire presentation content, run tech rehearsals, and prepare for live delivery
  • Troubleshoot with the technical team to find solutions for technical issues
  • Create and share post-production reports and feedback
  • Attend industry events to learn new methodologies and technologies and recommend/incorporate them into future events
  • Manage multiple projects/events with many variables, tight deadlines, and conflicting priorities
  • Build positive relationships with high-level clients and provide first-class support

LSAV POWERHOUSE is looking for a Live Event & Audio-Visual Industry Account Executive to generate company sales of event production elements — AV technology, event production, creative, and custom scenic services — for live, virtual, and hybrid corporate meetings and events. The ideal candidate has a strong background in live-event industry sales, an active client base, and a genuine desire to ideate and contribute to the overall success of each project. This is a senior-level position with salary and commission commensurate with experience.

You’ll be responsible for

  • Generating new prospects and following up on warm leads
  • Networking at industry meetings and conferences
  • Ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction, overseeing all events from inception to post-show measurement
  • Managing the full sales process from prospecting to established business
  • Presenting full event services: audio, video, scenic, lighting, technical direction, stage management, creative options, transportation, and venue logistics
  • Creating timely sales reports and demonstrating accountability for monthly sales goals and performance

 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of sales experience in corporate meetings, trade shows, event management, or a similar industry
  • Ability to develop and manage RFP and proposal processes, tight project timelines, vendors, and budgets for complex large-scale events
  • Proven track record of pipeline management and closing sales
  • Selling event staging or production, with a clear understanding of video, audio, lighting, rigging, scenic, and AV technology and their applications
  • A book of business that can be readily converted to sales within the first 12 months
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and CRM software

This is a full-time licensed truck driver position. Additional tasks include assisting in the quality control of the company’s audiovisual and scenic inventory in LSAV’s Chicago warehouse. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager and is a full-time, 40+ hour-a-week role.

Job Duties

  • Function as a driver for the delivery and pickup of equipment
  • Truck loading and unloading
  • Assist in the quality control of our audio, video, lighting, and scenic departments

 

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience within the live-events industry
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial driving experience with a clean driving record

 

Skills, Abilities & Requirements

  • Ability to operate a 24–26’ truck
  • Well-developed problem-solving, planning, organizing, and communication skills
  • Valid Class C Non-CDL driver’s license; willing to obtain a Class B commercial driver’s license
  • Willing to submit to regular drug and alcohol testing
  • Willing to submit to a criminal background check
  • Knowledge of the Chicagoland area
  • Able to work nights and weekends
